Accepted participants will explore their natural abilities, improve self-awareness, and enhance their social skills through the program’s innovative character-building curriculum and opportunities for leadership development. Students will discover character virtues, which include honesty, kindness, respect, empathy, and gratitude are the keys to interpersonal and academic success.
Discover a Unique Pre-College Experience
At Lehigh University Summer Academy, you’ll experience a highly personal enrichment program in a safe and supportive learning environment. Each session is limited to only 80 students, guaranteeing a low student-to-teacher ratio. Our unique pre-college experience offers a balance of class time, service learning, character-building activities, and outdoor fun while providing powerful and relevant experiences along the way.
Life Skills & Character Education
Program Safety
The safety, security, and health of our students is always our top priority. Participants will have access around-the-clock to residential nurses, as well as an on-call doctor, and experienced staff who have been carefully background-checked, following all state safety regulations and standards. In addition, the Lehigh University Police Department provides a safe and secure environment on and around campus.
Academics
Our expertly designed, project-based curriculum encourages students to take charge of their academic futures. Summer Academy participants will explore subjects and activities they’re passionate about and discover new interests along the way. Each three-week session immerses students in a variety of cutting-edge, thought-provoking and enriching experiences that extend learning outside the walls of the traditional classroom. Service-learning, community engagement, field trips, campus events and recreational activities are an integral part of Lehigh University Summer Academy.
